Top Tips For Holidays

I have tried to make the tips and other information in the site apply to as broad a range of holiday travellers as possible on a global basis. You will find some sections contain links to various external websites where I have provided links to UK, EU and US sites, but if you are located elsewhere in the world you can use these links as an example of what to look for applicable to your country.

The information in the site may make recommendations for products and services offered by companies located mainly in the UK and US, but some are located in other worldwide locations.

The semantics of language and local terms means I may have used a term that is called something different in your country. I am based in the UK so for example, in the site title “Top tips for holidays”, in the UK and Europe we go on “holiday” to relax, but people in the US and Canada would go on “vacation”. Both mean the same thing.

Lastly, thanks for visiting the site and I hope you enjoy the tips. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at info@toptipsforholidays.com or leave a comment below and I’ll be sure to get back to you.

  1. What a pleasure it is to have found your website! The colors and graphics made me “feel” like I was on holiday already! Very pleased that you incorporated a section as to bringing the family pet along!

Be assured that I will be a frequent visitor!

    Bravo!

  2. Hi Neil.
A friend recommended your site and I’m glad she did. Lots of excellent advice especially for someone like me with three kids. I have a comment on footwear, but I’ll leave it on the appropriate page.

    Cheers

    • Hi Lorcan,
Thanks for your comment and I’m glad you liked the website. If you have three kids not sure if you came across this page on the site – Kids travel how to guide – which has loads of tips for travelling with kids via various modes of transport.
      Thanks

  3. Hi there,

I love to travel and before I had kids I worked in the travel industry. I was selling trips to Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. Had to go there for biz, it was tough lol. I loved it!!
Here is my top 3 vacation list 🙂
    1. Capri, Italy
    2. Fiji Islands
    3. Stockholm Sweden

Can`t wait to go back and visit those places…
    Great site and great tips,
    Vicky

    • Hi Vicky,
Thanks for your great comments and yes I agree, it must have been a tough job all that travelling to far off places, but someone has to do it 😉
I haven’t been to the Fiji islands but would love to go sometime, one for the bucket list. It’s the usual story, too many places to see in one lifetime!!
      Many thanks
      Neil

  4. hi Neil
such a beautiful and serene site! The pictures were well chosen and are inspiring. I am looking forward to reading your upcoming posts. As I love traveling, discovering the culture and the history of the places I visit

    • Hi Emily,
Thank you for your nice comments! The pictures are a help to remember the places you have visited, but for me it is always the people you meet and their culture which stay in the memory longest.
      All the best
      Neil
